Therefore, whenever possible, we engage in dialogue to promote the continued adoption of hydrogen and fuel cell technology by companies \u2013 small and large \u2013 in the United States and internationally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">This week, Plug Power CEO Andy Marsh and VP of Government Relations, Gerry Conway, will hit the road to meet with some of the United States\u2019 most influential voices from both sides of the aisle, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Long-time, continuous supporter of Plug Power and hydrogen fuel cell adoption, Schumer has a history of introducing legislation supporting commercial adoption. Schumer represents Plug Power employees in Latham, NY \u2013 home of the GenFuel and GenDrive power product development and manufacturing facility.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Congressman John Larson (D-CT)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Recently co-sponsored a bill with Congressmen Chris Gibson (R-NY) and Paul Tonko (D-NY) to extend the fuel cell investment tax credit, among other things, until 2021.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Congressman Bill Foster (D-IL)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">A supporter of hydrogen fuel cells, Foster represents the district that is home to Central Grocers \u2013 one of Plug Power\u2019s first and largest GenDrive customers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">McMorris Rodgers, Chairman of the House Republican Conference, represents her constituents in Washington State, including the Plug Power office in Spokane, WA \u2013 home of the ReliOn stationary fuel cell product.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Staff of Representative Frank Pallone (D-NJ)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Pallone\u2019s NJ district is the home of Plug Power customer FreezPak. Pallone has shown strong interest in small businesses that are eager to adopt cutting edge innovation to further their own growth and remain competitive.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Staff of Representative Robert Latta (R-OH)<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">The state of Ohio has been home to many Plug Power customer sites, and we hope to extend the growth of fuel cell adoption in this state.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">The busy day will conclude with a roundtable event at the Italian Embassy, and a discussion entitled \u201cRenewable Energy in America: What Lies Ahead?\u201d designed to encourage international collaboration on the promotion of green energy around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Plug Power takes the hydrogen and fuel cell economy very seriously.
