Schumer. <em>\u00a0Check out <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/z9rLxEGgEmc\"><em><u>video of the 1 millionth refueling here<\/u><\/em><\/a><em>!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a class=\"entry-img-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.plugpower.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Photo-3.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1945\"<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1945 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.plugpower.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Photo-3-e1455025414369-226x300.jpg\" alt=\"Photo 3\" width=\"226\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>GenFuel, first announced in 2014, is Plug Power\u2019s turnkey hydrogen storage and dispensing solution. Since 2014, we\u2019ve installed more than 25 GenFuel installations at some of our highest volume customer sites. By the end of 2015, these customers were racking up 3,000 fuelings daily totaling more than 2.5 tons of hydrogen.<\/p>\n<p>As we reached this milestone, we were honored to have Senator Schumer celebrate with us. Monday\u2019s crucial milestone is a testament to the impact our GenDrive fuel cells are having on distribution centers across the country. Senator Schumer has supported and championed hydrogen and fuel cell policy throughout his term in Senate, including sponsoring the clean energy investment tax credit that has supported Plug Power, and the fuel cell industry, to realize commercial success in real-world applications.<\/p>\n<p>As Senator Schumer said when addressing Plug Power\u2019s employees, \u201cThis tax credit not only incentivizes businesses to purchase clean, American-made fuel cells from innovative companies like Plug Power, but it is also a proven job creator.\u201d<a class=\"entry-img-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.plugpower.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/IMG_6377-e1455025173740.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1946\"<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-1946 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.plugpower.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/IMG_6377-e1455025173740-284x300.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6377\" width=\"284\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>During his visit, Senator Schumer emphasized that \u201cfour letter word \u2013 JOBS.\u201d He shared that when he visited Plug Power five years ago, the floor was largely empty (there were fewer than 90 employees at the time) and that he vowed to do everything he could to help the company grow. Today, Plug Power\u2019s 339 employees is testament to the job growth Schumer is so passionate about.<\/p>\n<p>Since Senator Schumer\u2019s last visit to Plug Power in 2010, the company has:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increased revenue from $19.5 million to over $100 million annually<\/li>\n<li>Increased shipped units from 650 to 3,600 annually<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Given his long history of support for Plug Power, it was fitting that Senator Schumer performed the one-millionth hydrogen refueling \u2013 we were truly honored by his support.
