That\u2019s enough to power a city the size of Dayton, OH*. Power not coming from combustion engines or lead-acid batteries, but from zero-emission hydrogen fuel cells.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"entry-img-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.plugpower.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/2Warehouses.png\"<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3853\" src=\"https:\/\/www.plugpower.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/2Warehouses-1024x363.png\" alt=\"Clean fuel cell power from two warehouses\" width=\"550\" height=\"195\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Twenty-five facilities can produce up to 17.5 gigawatt hours of clean energy each year \u2013 enough to power a city the size of Phoenix, AZ or Philadelphia, PA \u2013 if it wasn\u2019t powering forklifts instead.<\/p>\n<p>According to research done by Georgia Tech\u2019s Climate and Energy Policy Lab, \u201cOn average in the United States, electric urban delivery trucks use about 30 percent less total energy and emit about 40 percent less greenhouse gases than diesel trucks\u201d (taking into account wells-to-wheels fuel production\/emissions\/daily operation).
