Today, we\u2019re meeting Shane Elrod, our Regional Service Representative for the Southeast.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"entry-img-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.plugpower.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/SElrod.jpg\"<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4215\" src=\"https:\/\/www.plugpower.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/SElrod.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Shane, how long have you been with Plug Power? <span style=\"color: #000080;\">5 years<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please explain what you do for a living in 20 words or fewer. \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\">I am part of the backbone that keeps our customers running.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Tell us one of the most extraordinary\/unusual experiences you\u2019ve had in career (does not have to be with Plug). \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\">I can\u2019t single one out. n the Marine Corps I got stationed in Hawaii and Japan. I have been a part of building the fifth runway at Hartsfield Jackson airport in Atlanta. \u00a0And here at Plug I have worked in China and gotten to see a part of the world most people here in America never get to see.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>What is your proudest accomplishment? \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\">My twins making it to college; raising kids is a whirlwind of emotions. \u00a0Some days you want to give up, some you understand why some mammals eat their young, some you want to laugh. \u00a0Seeing them grow up and walk that field and become young adults just makes it all worthwhile.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you could choose to do any job for a day, what would it be? \u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\">Be President of the United States of America.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Do you have a life philosophy? \u00a0What is it? <span style=\"color: #000080;\">If you\u2019re not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Who is your hero? \u00a0Why? <span style=\"color: #000080;\">My grandfather, Hal Brown, taught me to stand up for what I believe in and never be scared to admit my mistakes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re happy to have Shane as part of the Plug Power team working to change the way the world moves.<\/p>\n<p>#InfiniteDrive<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is PowerSpot, Plug Power\u2019s monthly blog series where we highlight the Plug Power employees who inspire us and, we hope, will inspire you, too.
