Plug Power has expanded quickly over the past year, building out a green hydrogen ecosystem and helping to decarbonize the transportation and material handling industries. Instrumental to these efforts is Plug\u2019s chief strategy officer and general manager of its Energy Solutions business, Sanjay Shrestha<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recognition of these accomplishments, the Albany Business Review, as part of its Achievers Awards Program, named Shrestha \u201cStrategist of the Year.\u201d The Achievers Awards, the Albany Business Review\u2019s most prestigious honor, has celebrated the \u201cbest of the best\u201d in the local business community for the past 37 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the start of his tenure at Plug in 2019, Shrestha has spearheaded key acquisitions, including Giner ELX and United Hydrogen,<\/a> to form the foundation of Plug\u2019s electrolyzer and hydrogen production businesses. Through these new capabilities, Plug is accelerating decarbonization around the world by helping its customers move towards net zero carbon footprints.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Always a critical and strategic thinker, Shrestha is especially adept at identifying the needs of business today while tirelessly charting an aspirational future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shrestha was on hand to accept the award at the Achievers Awards Dinner, which took place at the Crowne Plaza Albany \u2013 the Desmond Hotel on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
